I wouldn’t be here today

Since working with David and Intara, I have been promoted twice and now lead a major business division in my company. David gets to the heart of the issue and offers practical advice that I can easily put into action.

David’s approach, setting weekly goals based on a realistic reflection of where energy is best spent, feels so opposite to the corporate model, and yet it seems like it could be a real game changer for helping people feel happier and more fulfilled at work. As always, I’m grateful for both the push and the wisdom I receive.

A typical coaching program structure

Coaching is a trusted partnership. We work collaboratively with our coachees to develop a customized program that meets their specific needs.  Typical components of the program include:

1. Discovery and goal setting

2. Feedback from peers (e.g. a 360)

3. A structured and agreed program

4. Regular checkins on progress with managers

5. Suggestions for next steps / further development

How long is a coaching relationship

Our initial coaching programs are typically 6 months, with subsequent 3, 6 or 12 month extensions.

We always checkin to see if there is ongoing value in the coaching relationship. Some people feel confident in their next steps after six months, and others want an ongoing partner that helps them deal with new challenges and areas of growth. Our longest relationships span multiple jobs and companies and extend over several years.

What does a coaching session look like?

A typical coaching session consists of the following topics:

1. Checkin on progress since the last session

2. Discussion of top current priorities

3. 1-3 new areas of focus / models

4. Accountability setting for the next session
